#Iam1in100 Campaign

A positive awareness campaign that highlights the range of experiences of living with epilepsy and reinforces the reality that people with epilepsy are more than just their epilepsy.

Participate today!

The #Iam1in100 campaign is a Canadian epilepsy awareness campaign created by Epilepsy Ottawa and adopted by the Canadian Epilepsy Alliance.  It was initiated on March 1, 2020 and is intended to help expand the representation of what it means to live with epilepsy.

Participate by: 

  • Downloading and printing a sign (see below)

  • Fill in the blank space with your thoughts

  • Get a photo taken of you holding the sign

  • Upload your photo to social media using #Iam1in100 (for people with epilepsy) and #1in100 (for those who care about someone with epilepsy)

  • Tag the Canadian Epilepsy Alliance 

      @canadianepilepsyalliance

  • Tag Epilepsy Saskatoon

      @epilepsysask (Twitter) or

      @epilepsysaskatoon (facebook)

  • Put up a poster to encourage others to participate in the #Iam1in100 campaign

If you have epilepsy, click on the  “I have epilepsy and…” comment bubble and download or print the sign. In the blank space provided, write about how you’re feeling or how you’re handling having epilepsy. You can also write about your hobbies, interests, skills, and life beyond epilepsy.

If you know someone with epilepsy, click on the “Someone I care about has epilepsy and…” comment bubble and download or print the sign.  In the blank space provided, write about their hobbies, interests, skills, and life beyond epilepsy.

Don't forget to have your picture taken and to post it to social media with the appropriate hashtag #iam1in100 or #1in100
